Looks great and is very quiet. The remote is a wonderful bonus. Good value!

Simple product that does the job well: powerful motor, wide blades diameter and severe blade pitch add up to lots of air movement. Quiet aside from sound of air moving. Has remote switch – small concern there: If you are switching fan from the traditional pull-chains, the remote is so much better. However, if you are replacing a wall control switch, the designers at Hunter missed a clever opportunity: the remote holder could be designed to attach to the wall place or junction box. The remote would be kept on the wall until you snapped it out and carried it to where you need it. Remote is ugly, a light beige plastic – give me a faux wood that matches the fan. No trouble with installing.

Purchased two of these fans for two large rooms. They look good and move the air very efficiently, especially at low speeds. They are very quiet. So far, the remote controllers work well, but the fans cannot be reversed using the controllers.

I bought this fan a little while ago. I waited to do the review to get some use out of the item first. I have several fans in my house of different types. Some Casablanca’s and some Hunter’s. This fan was installed in my Living room 21′ x 17′ with 9′ ceilings. I was looking for a large fan since this room was converted to a family office and now has 5 computers set up with a bunch of associated electronics. All of that equipment gives off a lot of extra heat and I wanted to get a fan to move the air around to supplement the AC. I have another Hunter 60″ fan in my den (same room size) except that fan got bad reviews due to remote problems. I have not seen any of those problems with my unit but then again I do not have a light kit on that fan or this one.
Install of the fan went smoothly which was not a surprise sine I have installed 75+ fans to date. It looks like Hunter changed the canopy design on this model a bit. I think it an improvement but it was a little challenging to get the canopy to lock in at first. Once installed the fan works very nicely. The remote is the same as my other fan so I changed the code and there is no issue of interference. The fan makes a little noise like almost all Hunter fans when running. This is always a contention with me since most of the fans I have installed have been in bedrooms. Since this is in an office with computers and such you cannot really distinguish the fan noise from a computer fan or fan in a printer so this is not an issue. If you are looking for a fan that is completely silent this is not going to work for you. Now that being said I had to climb up a ladder and get right next to the base of the fan to hear the noise. Now it wasn’t the dead of night in the house when you could hear a pin drop too. I have a Casablanca Holiston fan (60″) also and it makes s about the same level of noise as this one. I paid a lot more for that one too. That one is installed in my bedroom and I don’t have a problem with that level of noise.
The remote is easy to use and I like the form factor. The low speed of the fan seems to be a little too low for me and the high speed seems a bit high. I use the Medium setting and it works out great. It moves a good amount of air and the air noise is not that noticeable. I would recommend this unit to anyone it seems to be well made and operates well.

This fan is very quiet. It has been doing a great job cooling off our very large family room.
